![]() Was was £40.80, rather steep for what we had ordered quality wise. We weren't enjoying our time there so we asked for the bill. His head was about 5cm away from my plate. After we were eating our meal instead of coming up the steps to come to our table to ask if everything was ok, he stuck his head over the railings to the left of our table and asked if things were ok. The man I mentioned earlier who seemed to the supervisor and spoke with a foreign accent seemed to be quite bossy to the young waiting staff who seemed only to be trying their best. The vibe in the restaurant was quite tense. My partners curry had very little flavour and the only vegetables in it was literally one mushroom cut into tiny pieces. My enchilada was ok, lacked in flavour a bit but was made with good fresh ingredient s. When his arrived he was given half rice and half chips instead of the rice and a side order of chips which we were supposed to share. I ordered the chicken enchilada and my partner ordered the chicken curry and a side of chips. When our mains arrived the portions were huge but the quality of food left a lot to be desired. It was like a frozen platter you could buy in any supermarket. We didn't get separate plates so we had to use our napkins to set the food onto. When it arrived it was decidedly average. We ordered the combo platter for two for a starter. We were seated in the raised part of the restaurant over to the right hand side. Showed us to our table and took drinks orders. On arrival we were greeted by a most over the top man in a suit. we will not be returning.Arrived at the red pepper restaurant with my partner for an evening meal on a Saturday night. A Disgusting meal with sloppy service and the hygiene of the lift area was terrible. tea and coffee was not yet brought out despite it being 1310 at this stage. The cheese cake actually ran off the base when i tried to lift it and the kids jelly was like plastic. all the deserts were obviously mass produced frozen dishes which had been sitting out for so long they were sloppy. ![]() ![]() we had to ask to have dirty plates removed and although we ordered a jug of juice before we began our meal we waited 15 minutes for it. the main course was lovely however again in comparison to other carverys we have been to the choice was poor. it has a skin on the top of it and when we tasted it, it had a powdery after taste. Cold starters were satisfactory and the warm sausages and chicken were ok also, however the soup was disgusting. No one explained were the starters etc were or that the bar is waiter service. ![]() Eventually we were shown to our seat which we had prebooked and waited a while then for the high chair we had pre booked for our eldest son. if the smell of the lift wasnt bad enough we were greeted with more of the same when we got out of the lift. when we called the lift it had a dirty trolly in it and we had to remove it to get in. It was filthy, smelly and the floor was loose making it in my opinion unsafe. We had a pram with our baby son in it and the Lift in the main lobby we were told would not take us to the carvery so we were directed to what looked amd smelt like a service lift. We went to the Carvery in The Clarion Carrickfergus on sunday the 15 July 2012.
